Sneak Peek

SDCfront

So...guess what went to press a little over a week ago? Yep, my book! You're looking at the cover right now. The word "HOORAY!" is just not enough. A hearty "PHEW!" is definitely in order, though! I've been spending the days since it was sent to the printer catching up on everything else that went by the wayside while I was working. It's a long, long list, topped with things like Spring Cleaning (um, it's July) and purging my craft room (a de-stashing sale on Etsy may be in order, stay tuned). The wheels are in motion for the next Felt Club event as well, which you'll be hearing more about later this month. I did manage to fit in a weekend trip up to San Francisco with my pals Cathy and Tootie, which I'll share details about over the next few days.

I want to thank every one of you for all the comments and e-mails asking about the book and sharing your excitement. It's been the fuel that kept me going through the entire process. I really hope you'll end up enjoying the book as much as I do! It will be out in January 2009, though I'll get advance copies in October. Once I get the go-ahead to share more projects from inside, you'll be the first to know! For now, here's a look at the back cover, featuring quotes from two of my favorite ladies ever, Kathy Cano-Murillo (aka the
Crafty Chica) and Jenny Hart of Sublime Stitching. Yeah, I pretty much couldn't be more thrilled!

hiya!

I just found your blog because I am making S'more cupcakes for a friend and the search took me to your post from last April. I got to looking around though, and I am so glad that I found you! I am a textile designer for Andover Fabrics and I think we could do some cool stuff together. Check out my stuff if you get a minute.

have a great day, and congrats on your book... what a process the whole thing is

Lizzy!

Looks like a great book! I hope it's a million dollar seller... You must be very excited! I'm going to put this on my "must have" list for the coming year, especially now that my textile collections will be available from Henry Glass & Co. in the spring. I need super cute projects to show it off and I'll certainly use some of yours!

Again, a big congratulations! I know it was a lot of work!!!

Oh, I am so going to get your book -- it looks fabulous!!

So exciting! Congratulations! ^_^ The cover looks wonderful and I'm sure the rest of the book is just as great! Can't wait to see it!

Oh congratulations, it looks beautiful! Please let me know when it is ready for purchase.

I bought the book, but it's a loooong way to Germany. :-) Hope it arrives next week!

I'd like to have a signed one, but I think, therefor it's a loooong way, too. ;-) (Or do you send signed cards?!)

Bought your book and made the hook holder. Showed the holder to my crochet students and HIGHLY recommended they buy the book and make their own holder.

Congrats - the book has great ideas.
